About Me

Hello and Welcome to "Ye Olde Candle Cubbard". My name is Connie and I've been making candles for many years now. All my candles are handpoured in my home, as well as tested here too. I use a variety of different waxes which includes Soy, Soy/Paraffin Blends, Paraffin and Bees Wax. As per the EPA and American Candle Association state, NO one wax is better or burns better or cleaner than another. I take that to heart! Both these associations test waxes and oils regularly, so consumers can have all their facts before purchasing.

I purchase my fragrance oils from several different suppliers all across the USA. I look for the strongest scent and the best quality in both my wax and oils. My candles are scented with as much fragrance oil as they can possible hold. If my description says its Triple Scented, it means there are three different scents poured into that particular candle. Not that I have used three times the amount of fragrance oil, that just isn't feesible or safe. Wax will only hold so much fragrance oil!

I live in Central Florida with my darling husband. He's my biggest fan and worse critic. Of course, when he doesn't like a particular scent, I know it will be one of my best sellers! We have two sons and two daughters, all grown. We also have four beautiful grand-daughters, and one grandson, he is one special little guy. Full of spit and vinegar.

Candle Safety is always at the top of my list. All candle wicks should be trimmed to 1/4 inch before each burn. Jar candles should only be burned about 3 to 4 hours at a time. Never leave a candle burning unattended around children or pets. AND, never place a burning candle near a drafty area. It is also a good policy to never set candle containers on a surface without something under them. Some candles when melted will have overspill.

Last year we started doing the craft fair circuit and have fallen in love with it. We have met some of the nicest people. My hubby usually goes with me, he's an excellent salesman. Sometimes I think he tells them more about my products than I do. It's a lot of work, but we enjoy the time together. Check out my Calender of Events page. We may just be in your area soon.
